Jessica Wong is 20 and has put in abeyance her plans of world domination in order to first pursue a largely useless degree in philosophy. Depending on the number of hours of sleep managed the night before, the content of her meals that day, and possibly the position of the planets, their corresponding moons and various other heavenly bodies; JW is variably as hyperactive as a hummingbird, as nervous as a rodent on crack, a cranky bitch from hell, or a complete and utter bimbo. She also has an ego the size of every continent put together, an attention span of a butterfly with ADD, and is shy with most strangers but annoying as hell with friends.
Her cherished items include her music player, her computer, and her Coffeebean & Tealeaf membership card; while her hobbies revolve around reading, writing, and artistic shimmying and groping in the form of salsa dance steps.
She also likes using long, run-on sentences that are highly reminiscent of her ability to babble rubbish for long periods of time without pausing for breath.
JW can be contacted at pedantic.sod@gmail.com, and welcomes new contacts on her MSN messenger list, though she would appreciate it if you first drop her an e-mail detailing how you got hold of this address, because she is a paranoid little soul. She would also like to request that you avoid using too much chatspeak because she is a snob that way, and be able to hold up a one-sided conversation, because she sucks at it.

I love dance. LOVE it.
So I've just come back from watching "An Evening With Paloma Herrera" (though why they called it that I've no idea since there were so many other principle dancers from other companies performing too) and omg. Omg omg omg OMG. Oh. My. God. So, SO good. Am practically floating in happy, joyful delight that I got to have this experience. Worth EVERY cent of the $83 that I paid for the ticket; would've bought tickets to BOTH nights if I could've.
...I was sitting third row from the front, and omg, SO good. I'm probably never going to have an experience like that ever again, and I'm so, so happy that I got to have it at all ♥
JW mumbled at 11:15 PM.

More Fame 2009 lyrics
Hold Your Dream~Naturi Naughton, Asher Book, Kay Panabaker
JENNY: Countless hours of learning more Countless hours knowing less Can't slip behind you You have to look ahead
MARCO: So many doubts running through your mind All the excuses, don't have the time All the rejection you have to leave behind
JENNY & MARCO: Leave it all behind
DENISE: Hold your deams Don't ever let it go Be yourself And let the world take notice
You'll find strength When people bring you down They will see If you would only, only believe
(INSTRUMENTAL)
CHORUS: Oooooh Some way, somehow (yeah yeah) Don't give up now (don't give up) Don't be afraid to succeed (yeah oh)
Some way, somehow (come on everybody) The time is right now (it's our time, yeah) Don't be afraid To succeed (yeah)
(INSTRUMENTAL)
DENISE: Whoa... Hold your deams Don't ever let it go Be yourself And let the world take notice
You'll find strength When people bring you down They will see If you would only, only believe
Fame 2009 and song lyrics
Went to watch Fame the movie with Hana today. Nice film; all the critics seem to hate it, and granted, it doesn't have much of a storyline (or any storyline really), but we both really liked it, enough that we both bought the soundtrack, so--
Problem is, because it's so new, and because no one seems to really like it, I can't find the lyrics anywhere. And I really need help with the hip-hop ones, because they're always so fast and loud that I have trouble hearing words here and there. Much less when they break into rap. Which is a pity, because Naturi's Naughton's voice sends chills down my spine in all the best ways, and I really want those lyrics.
Ballads though, I can handle. So here're are the ones for "Try", transcribed by yours truly =)
Try~Asher Book
If I walk would you run If I stop would you come If I say you're the one Would you believe me
If I ask you to stay Would you show me the way Tell me what to say So you don't leave me
The world is catching up to you While you're running away To chase your dream
It's time for us to make a move Cos we are asking one another to change And maybe I'm not ready but I'll--
Try for your love I can hide up above I will try for your love We've been hiding enough
If I sing you a song Would you sing along Away till I'm gone Oh how we push and pull
If I give you my heart Would you just play the part Or tell me it's the start Of something beautiful
Am I catching up to you While you're running away To chase your dreams
It's time for us to face the truth Cos we are coming to each other to change And maybe I'm not ready but I’ll--
Try for your love I can hide up above I will try for your love We've been hiding enough
I will try for your love I can hide up above
If I walk would you run If I stop would you come If I say you're the one Would you believe me
Sleepy.
And bored. I like Don Juan, but I'm just not in the mood for studying anything today, and after the whole mess that happened yesterday, I'm still kind of exhausted (don't ask what happened yesterday. just thinking about it makes me cringe).
Hm. There are bunches of interesting brown birds in the bushes outside the window. They're definitely not sparrows or pigeons (too big, and they flutter too much). Think I should sit closer to the window next lesson.
Anyway here, have a poem:
~~~~~~~~
Instructions by Neil Gaiman
Touch the wooden gate in the wall you never saw before. Say "please" before you open the latch, go through, walk down the path. A red metal imp hangs from the green-painted front door, as a knocker, do not touch it; it will bite your fingers. Walk through the house. Take nothing. Eat nothing. However, if any creature tells you that it hungers, feed it. If it tells you that it is dirty, clean it. If it cries to you that it hurts, if you can, ease its pain.
From the back garden you will be able to see the wild wood. The deep well you walk past leads to Winter's realm; there is another land at the bottom of it. If you turn around here, you can walk back, safely; you will lose no face. I will think no less of you.
Once through the garden you will be in the wood. The trees are old. Eyes peer from the under- growth. Beneath a twisted oak sits an old woman. She may ask for something; give it to her. She will point the way to the castle. Inside it are three princesses. Do not trust the youngest. Walk on. In the clearing beyond the castle the twelve months sit about a fire, warming their feet, exchanging tales. They may do favors for you, if you are polite. You may pick strawberries in December's frost. Trust the wolves, but do not tell them where you are going. The river can be crossed by the ferry. The ferry- man will take you. (The answer to his question is this: If he hands the oar to his passenger, he will be free to leave the boat. Only tell him this from a safe distance.)
If an eagle gives you a feather, keep it safe. Remember: that giants sleep too soundly; that witches are often betrayed by their appetites; dragons have one soft spot, somewhere, always; hearts can be well-hidden, and you betray them with your tongue.
Do not be jealous of your sister. Know that diamonds and roses are as uncomfortable when they tumble from one's lips as toads and frogs: colder, too, and sharper, and they cut.
Remember your name. Do not lose hope — what you seek will be found. Trust ghosts. Trust those that you have helped to help you in their turn. Trust dreams. Trust your heart, and trust your story. When you come back, return the way you came. Favors will be returned, debts will be repaid. Do not forget your manners. Do not look back. Ride the wise eagle (you shall not fall). Ride the silver fish (you will not drown). Ride the grey wolf (hold tightly to his fur).
There is a worm at the heart of the tower; that is why it will not stand.
When you reach the little house, the place your journey started, you will recognize it, although it will seem much smaller than you remember. Walk up the path, and through the garden gate you never saw before but once. And then go home. Or make a home. And rest.
Back from a super super long hiatus...
Because I am bored. And so cold, my fingertips are actually, literally, going tingly and numb. So, have a bunch of funny videos:
God, these crewmen/women are brave. Also, the bloopers are hilarious.
Funny and sweet. They look like they're having so much fun.
So, so screwed.
So, I have my barista test at 12, and the adrenaline hit me at 6 in the fucking morning, leaving me awake all the way till now, except now I'm beginning to crash, and this is not a good way to start the day =/
